Wastewater​/Water Operator

SUMMARY:

Bering Global Solutions, a company within the BSNC family, is seeking a qualified Wastewater/Water Operator for the Maintenance BOS Contract in Chesapeake, VA.

• Operate and maintain the wastewater/water treatment plants.
• Support the operations and maintenance of wastewater and water treatment.
• Perform routine and non‑routine inspections of the entire wastewater/water treatment facility.
• Collect and run routine bench‑top analysis of various wastewater/water treatment samples.
• Collect, document and report operating conditions of specific wastewater/water treatment equipment and systems.
• Record routine and non‑routine activities during scheduled shifts.
• Perform housekeeping assignments as required for the wastewater/water treatment.

All required local, state, and federal licensing. Class3 wastewater, Class4 water. Experience with day‑to‑day operations of wastewater/water treatment. Valid RealID driver’s license. Facility maintenance experience with the DoD preferred.

Employee must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Physical demands include bending, stooping, sitting, walking and standing for prolonged periods of time, and moving and manipulating items weighing up to 50pounds.

This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety‑sensitive” functions.

The job is performed inside and outside in various temperatures, hot and cold. Must be able to lift 50lbs.

No supervisory responsibilities.

Candidates must pass a pre‑employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
