About the RoleAmerican Engineering is seeking a Water / Wastewater Engineer to join our growing team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of municipal infrastructure and land development projects
, including water distribution systems, sanitary sewer design, and pump stations.

- Design and support water distribution and sanitary sewer systems
- Assist with pump station design and hydraulic calculations
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients on project delivery
- Support permitting and coordination with local/state agencies
- Contribute to a variety of municipal and land development projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- 3+ years of water / wastewater design experience
- EIT/FE required or in progress (PE path strongly supported)
- Experience with:
- Water / sewer modeling software
- Working knowledge of:
- Gravity sanitary sewer design
- Pump stations (preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
