Engineer III

• If candidate is not local and require relocation, a one-time mobilization cost is reimbursable - $1K
• Expectation is for person to be available to be local and onsite 5 days a week
• No per diem for this role. Only local or relocation.
• Work address 2701 Vepco St. Chesapeake, VA 23323.
• Overtime will be required based on project schedule demands.
• 40 - 50 hours per week.

This candidate will support a long-term project in Chesapeake, VA and will need to be able to take the lead engineering role with multiple projects in flight. Will need to lead engineering design reviews, agency permitting efforts from cradle to grave, RFI and submittal reviews, and provide engineering oversight for construction activities.

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Able to handle the most complex work and all aspects of the job using wide knowledge of the field and master (advanced knowledge, skill and /or abilities that provide subject matter authority and superior command in a particular job) of the subject matter.
• May provide input in setting objectives and policy, identifying critical issues and introducing new concepts.
• Make decisions independently.
• Provide assistance, advice, and solutions to peers, customers, and co-workers.
• Identifies and implements better work alternatives and business processes.
• This role will be asked to take the lead and ensure the engineering designs and permitting deadlines are met.
• Respect for regulatory and legal compliance is essential.
• Experience with design reviews, local, state, and federal permitting is a strong preference.
• Engineering field experience is preferred but not required.
• Minimum HS Diploma Required

• Civil engineering degree and PE are preferred but not required
• Organization and initiative/self-discipline/ exceptional problem-solving skills
• Strong personal computer skills in proficiency with Microsoft Products
• Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
