This role is responsible for ensuring engineering deliverables support efficient manufacturing operations by improving communication, resolving design issues, and facilitating timely engineering updates.

The successful candidate will bridge the gap between engineering and manufacturing by reviewing engineering documentation, coordinating design revisions, resolving production-related engineering challenges, and helping ensure drawings and technical documentation accurately support manufacturing execution. This position plays a key role in improving manufacturability, configuration control, engineering responsiveness, and overall product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production.
  • Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and production readiness.
  • Develop, coordinate, and track engineering redline corrections and drawing revisions.
  • Identify and resolve design-related issues affecting manufacturing operations.
  • Communicate engineering changes clearly and effectively with production personnel.
  • Coordinate engineering support to minimize manufacturing delays and production disruptions.
  • Support configuration management and ensure engineering documentation remains accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve drawing quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Assist in identifying process improvements that enhance communication between engineering and manufacturing.
  • Track engineering issues and follow them through resolution while maintaining project schedules.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration focused on product quality, continuous improvement, and efficient manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Strong mechanical engineering background with practical manufacturing experience.
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting mechanical drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production environments.
  • Experience coordinating engineering changes and resolving manufacturing-related design issues.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, manufacturing personnel, and production leadership.
Preferred Technical Skills

Experience with the following:

  • AutoCAD
  • Autodesk Inventor
  • EPLAN
  • Vault / PDM Systems
  • JIRA or similar issue and project tracking software
Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience working between engineering and manufacturing environments are highly desired. Experience supporting manufacturing operations, driving drawing accuracy, improving manufacturability, and coordinating engineering changes will provide a significant advantage.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, communicating across departments, and helping engineering and manufacturing work together more effectively. This individual should be comfortable balancing technical engineering knowledge with practical production needs while maintaining momentum on engineering-related issues that impact manufacturing schedules.
