• Civil Engineering

• Failure Analysis

Responsibilities

As a Contract Expert Witness Consultant, you may:

• Conduct forensic engineering investigations and site inspections
• Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Evaluate engineering design, installation, workmanship, and code compliance
• Determine applicable standards of care and identify technical deficiencies
• Prepare detailed expert reports and technical opinions
• Provide expert testimony during depositions, arbitration, mediation, and trial proceedings
• Communicate technical findings to attorneys, insurance carriers, contractors, developers, and property owners
• Collaborate with legal teams throughout the life of a case
• Travel throughout the United States as needed for inspections, meetings, depositions, and testimony

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 10+ years of engineering experience
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
• Ability to explain complex engineering concepts clearly and objectively
• Experience with forensic engineering, construction defects, failure analysis, commissioning, or consulting is highly desirable
• Additional licenses, certifications, and professional credentials are a plus (CFI, CxA, LEED AP, ICC, NFPA certifications, ASHRAE certifications, etc.)
• Previous expert witness experience is welcomed but not required
• Must be able to travel as needed
