Dimensional Control Engineer
We are seeking a Dimensional Control Engineer to support precision measurement, alignment, and inspection activities on complex shipbuilding and industrial projects. This role combines hands-on field work with advanced 3D modeling and data analysis to ensure structures, piping systems, and equipment are installed to exact engineering specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional inspections using laser trackers, laser scanners, photogrammetry systems, and total stations.
- Measure and verify ship structures, piping systems, machinery, and critical equipment installations.
- Process scan data and create 3D models, inspection reports, and as-built documentation.
- Compare field measurements to engineering drawings and CAD models to identify discrepancies.
- Support engineering, production, and quality teams with alignment plans, fixtures, and technical documentation.
- Participate in machinery alignment, leveling, and verification of high-tolerance systems.
The range for this role is 45/hr to 55/hr
