Since 1957, we have provided customers with a single-source solution for warehousing, distribution, transportation, packing and crating, and air freight services. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Account Representative to join our team in Chesapeake.

The Account Representative serves as a primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and helps coordinate the day-to-day flow of shipments, inventory, documentation, and customer requests. This position works closely with customers, warehouse operations, transportation providers, and other departments to make sure orders and shipments are handled accurately and on time.

We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Previous customer service, logistics, transportation, or warehousing experience is strongly preferred.

• Provide excellent customer service and serve as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
• Communicate with customers throughout the import and export shipment process by phone and email.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with customers, warehouse operations, transportation providers, carriers, and port authorities.
• Process customer orders and maintain accurate shipment, receiving, and inventory documentation.
• Prepare bills of lading, receiving reports, packing lists, job orders, customer activity reports, discrepancy reports, and other required documentation.
• Monitor shipments and follow up on confirmation errors, discrepancies, or other issues.
• Assist with inventory documentation, cycle counts, relocations, and inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate account information, billing documentation, inventory records, and data entry.
• Respond promptly to customer questions, concerns, and service issues.
• Follow up regularly with customers to ensure satisfaction and provide shipment or project updates.
• Escalate issues to management when appropriate.
• Learn and effectively use the company's warehouse management system and other internal systems.
• Work closely with operations and other departments to ensure customer requirements are met.

• Minimum 2 years of clerical, administrative, customer service, or related experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Previous customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, freight, or a related industry is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Dependable with good follow-through.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain professional when handling customer concerns.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience with NAVIS or other port, warehouse, or transportation management systems is a plus.
