During 12 intense months, you will obtain an end‑to‑end perspective of our Finance functions and learn how we co‑drive the business across both local and Volvo Group levels. From day one you will be permanently employed in a business unit, taking an active role in daily deliveries. Throughout the year you will participate in common training weeks with other finance graduates, experience multiple job rotations and grow professionally and personally through mentoring and coaching.

What You Will Do Your Future TeamThe VPNA finance team collaborates closely with commercial sales teams across North America. We are responsible for a wide range of financial processes, drive business value, and provide proactive support to stakeholders in a dynamic international environment.
RoleAs a Business Controller in VPNA and part of the Volvo Group Finance Graduate Program, you will link financial insights to real business decisions. Your impact focuses on three key areas:
Driving financial insight and decision support- Preparing management and financial reports, analysing trends and variances across actuals, forecasts, and budgets
- Supporting ad‑hoc financial and operational analyses to identify risks and opportunities and guide business decisions
- Building an understanding of key financial drivers and how they connect to operational performance
- Supporting monthly closing, estimates and reporting processes with a focus on quality and reliability
- Analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and controls
- Contributing to clear, precise communication of financial information to stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and standardise finance processes
- Exploring and testing digital tools (Excel‑based models, Power BI, Tableau, Power Query) to enhance business control routines
- Reducing manual work and improving the quality and accessibility of financial data
- Collaborating with local and global finance teams on process improvement initiatives

MoreSpecifically, We Require
- Maximum 2 years of full‑time work experience before or after graduation (internships are considered work experience)
- BS degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related curriculum (MBA or Master’s preferred)
- Practical exposure to financial reporting or accounting through internships, student projects or entry‑level roles
- Experience in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas)
- Previous experience with data analytics or business control is a plus
- Robust data‑driven analytical skills and a business mindset
- Data visualization tools highly desirable
- English proficiency is critical; additional languages such as Spanish or Swedish are appreciated
