Team Lead - Chesapeake, Virginia
Must have clinical experience working in a dermatology setting
Job DescriptionThe Team Lead is responsible for maximizing clinic and team efficiency, productivity, and teamwork. This role involves managing clinic operations, including budget and staffing, and assisting with employee recruitment, selection, and hiring. The Team Lead will also manage staff performance, provide regular updates to the Regional Clinic Manager, and ensure all communications are addressed immediately. Additionally, this position is responsible for attaining prior authorizations and maintaining a tracking system, providing and supervising new employee orientation, and offering CLIA training where applicable.
The Team Lead acts as a role model and subject matter expert for clinic policies and procedures.
- Maximize clinic and team efficiency, productivity, and teamwork.
- Manage clinic operations, including budget and staffing.
- Assist with employee recruitment, selection, and hiring.
- Manage staff performance and provide regular updates to the Regional Clinic Manager.
- Ensure all phone messages, faxes, and interdepartmental mail are addressed immediately.
- Attain prior authorizations and maintain a system to track from start to finish.
- Provide and supervise new employee orientation.
- Provide CLIA training where applicable.
- Act as a role model and subject matter expert for policies and procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must have at least 3 years of medical assistant experience
- Must have completed medical assistant program
- Dermatology experience is highly preferred
- Willing to work in a supervisory role
The work environment is a dermatology office with a patient volume of approximately 90 per day. The role involves working from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
