Pay Range: $38,630 – commensurate with experience (Pay Band
3)

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and support for mobility.
• Use behavior management strategies to support individuals exhibiting maladaptive behaviors.
• Provide emotional and behavioral support while promoting independence.
• Implement behavior intervention plans and collaborate with the support team.
• Foster a safe, structured, and positive environment.

Shift hours: 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. (3rd shift). A shift differential is available: weekday $2.25 / hr., weekend $3.00 / hr.

All new hires must complete SEVTC’s 10‑day Pre‑Service Training Program for Direct Support Professional Staff, which includes Person-Centered Approach techniques, CPR/First Aid certification, medication administration, nutrition management, and physical/behavioral management training. Training in behavior management and crisis intervention is also available.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, accountable, and reliable.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and with an integrated team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active, valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills – keyboard, mouse, and EHR navigation with minimal assistance.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and intervening with aggressive behaviors.
• Successful completion of the Pre–Service Training Program (CPR, First Aid, medication administration, nutrition management, and physical/behavioral management).
• Ability to collaborate with co‑workers, Residential Supervisors, and  members.

• Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, or other developmental disabilities.
• Experience working with medically fragile individuals.
• Experience as a Direct Support Professional, Certified Nursing Assistant, or similar role.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
