Full-Time Join Our Team Gastroenterology Associates of Tidewater is seeking an experienced and motivated ASC Manager to lead the daily operations of our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and endoscopy unit. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care while maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant environment for patients, physicians, and staff.

Position Summary The ASC Manager provides day-to-day operational and administrative oversight of the endoscopy unit. This position is responsible for managing staff, coordinating physician schedules, maintaining regulatory compliance, overseeing quality initiatives, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and operational efficiency.

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center and endoscopy unit.

Ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Manage staffing, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and professional development of clinical staff.

Foster a positive, collaborative work environment while providing coaching, counseling, and corrective action when appropriate.

Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to support efficient center operations.

Ensure compliance with all AAAHC, Medicare, state, and federal regulations to maintain licensure, certification, and accreditation.

Participate in Endoscopy Committee and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings and lead quality improvement initiatives.

Oversee patient confidentiality processes, emergency notifications, and other regulatory requirements.

Coordinate physician and employee schedules while maintaining effective communication regarding operational and clinical matters.

Monitor inventory and ensure supplies and equipment are properly maintained and available.

Coordinate orientation, competency assessments, continuing education, and in-service training for staff.

Work collaboratively with anesthesia providers and physicians to ensure seamless patient care.

Identify operational challenges, proactively troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize delays.

Delegate responsibilities appropriately to ensure smooth daily operations.

Participate in data collection, reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Education & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Previous leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting required.

Experience in gastrointestinal endoscopy or an ambulatory surgery center is preferred.

Knowledge of AAAHC, Medicare, and applicable regulatory requirements preferred.

Membership in local, state, and national professional nursing or healthcare organizations is encouraged.

Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and lead a multidisciplinary team.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining operational efficiency and exceptional patient care.

Ability to balance physician expectations with staff workflow and operational efficiency.

Proven critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
