Travel Cath Lab​/EP Technologist - EP Lab

American Traveler is hiring an Electrophysiology Tech with 2+ years of EP Lab experience and Epic proficiency for a day-shift assignment.

Requirements

• ACLS certification required
• RCES or RCIS certification required, or registry eligible, with EP experience as identified
• License required if applicable
• Associate's degree or higher required, including completion of an accredited cardiovascular technology program toward Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist registry
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Electrophysiology Lab required
• Experience in invasive electrophysiology procedures including 3D mapping, EP recording systems, and advanced ablation (including A-Fib) required
• Familiarity with ICE procedures and cardiac rhythm management interrogation/programming across multi-vendor devices required
• VA or compact license required in hand at time of consideration
• Must pass EKG proficiency testing with a score of 80% or higher prior to starting orientation

Responsibilities

• Work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab setting
• Monday through Friday schedule with no call requirement
• Shifts of 8-10 hours scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM based on department needs
• Uses GE Cardio lab and/or St Jude Work Mate equipment, with familiarity in Philips equipment preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Responsibilities include EP studies, arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping and ablation, cardioversion, conduction studies, and AICD insertion/programming
• Perform pacemaker insertion, tilt table studies, and left atrial appendage (LAA) closure procedures
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, Star Close) and Watchman procedures preferred
• Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, inventory management, and supply stocking
• Sterile technique and infection control practices required
• Candidates with any history of license or background hits will not be considered
• Facility cannot accommodate a PAPR; any history of fit test issues will eliminate candidates from consideration
• Approximately 3 hours of pre-start modules required
• RTO requests reviewed and approved on a per-case basis
