Job Summary
VSolvit LLC is currently seeking a mid‑level Dev Ops Developer to be part of our Chesapeake, VA team on a full‑time basis supporting our NIWC U.S. Navy customer. As a Dev Ops Developer, you will collaborate with our clients to help design, implement, maintain, and test a variety of technical solutions by utilizing the latest technologies. You will also be responsible for creating and enhancing Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines and various kinds of automation processes (build management, automated deployments, automated testing, configuration management, etc.).

Responsibilities- AWS, Azure, Google Cloud experience
- OS experience with Linux and Windows
- Working experience on SVN, GIT, and Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Hands‑on experience installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab, Tekton)
- Hands‑on experience with configuring Container Clusters and Containerizing Applications (e.g., Amazon ECS, K8s, Open Shift, AWS Fargate, Docker)
- Knowledge in installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring pipeline tools (e.g., Code Dx, Sonar Qube, Coverity, Checkmarx, Fortify)
- Knowledge in installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring automation tools (e.g., RH Ansible)
- Working experience with coding languages (Java, C#, Python, Power Shell, Groovy, Yaml, JavaScript, JQuery, Bash)
- Participate in the SAFe Agile Scrum team environment with a focus on planning and delivering changes iteratively.
- Must have a Lean‑Agile mindset and adhere to Agile Principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborate with team members and other business users.
- Participate in and promote a team learning culture.
- Be able to work remotely without any distractions.
- Provide guidance and support to Application Developers.
- Treat infrastructure as a product and provide ideas on how to continually improve automation services and resiliency of the platform.
- Gather technical requirements and execute on deliverables.
- Scale infrastructure and/or applications in an automated way.
- Monitor and instrument everything, particularly data applications and databases.
- Follow and execute Production, QA, Dev, and other environmental change control processes.
- Document Dev Ops processes, procedures, and environments to ensure continuity.
- Process work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Always pay attention to details.
- Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must have an active DOD Secret Clearance
- Must have Level 1 or higher IAT Certification (A+ CE, Security+, CCNA‑Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP)
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Information Systems or Computer Science
- Minimum of four to six years IT/Dev Ops engineering experience and a minimum of three years of experience working in Windows or Linux server administration with Red Hat, CentOS or similar toolsets
- Strong experience applying Dev Ops and CI/CD concepts; CI experience in multiple tools (Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, Visual Studio Team Services, etc.)
- Previous scripting experience in Power Shell, Python or similar scripting language
- Knowledge of automated testing (Selenium, Visual Studio, etc.)
- Experience with a configuration management tool such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Understanding of Azure including Azure SQL, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory
- Experience in SQL Server administration & troubleshooting, and web server administration using IIS and/or Apache
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure to deploy highly‑available, scalable, and secure applications
- Demonstrated knowledge of Monitoring tools (Application Insights, New Relic, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban)
- Demonstrated experience working with development tools like SSMS, SQL Developer, Jira, Jama, Confluence
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
