ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions (detailed duties are not exhaustive and may extend to other related tasks):
- Work with the Application Services team in the technical and functional support of the Trapeze EAM system, and assist with ITS systems such as HASTUS and Transit Master.
- Coordinate technical resources, information, and activities for EAM business processes.
- Act as a liaison functional analyst between EAM system users and Application Services.
- Analyze and maintain EAM workflows, documenting modifications as needed.
- Provide technical support for ad‑hoc report creation and customizations.
- Document, resolve, and follow up on issue closure.
- Manage data load templates and perform bulk data loads.
- Work with system vendors to resolve issues.
- Manage application users and user role profiles.
- Maintain plans and processes to ensure system availability.
- Collaborate with network and server infrastructure teams for troubleshooting.
- Recommend application enhancements, training needs, and system upgrades to the Application Services team.
- Maintain knowledge of public transportation terminology through resources such as APTA, TCRP, FTA, and NTD.
- Maintain records in compliance with the Hampton Roads Transit Records Management Policy and Procedures.
- Perform on‑call duties on a rotation schedule as per established policies.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and excellent computer skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of enterprise applications, databases, terminology, processes, and an understanding of software application system concepts.
- Understanding of transit scheduling concepts and operations dispatch functions (highly desirable).
- Direct experience administering transit‑specific applications such as HASTUS, Transit Master, and Enterprise Asset Management System (highly desirable).
- Experience using GIS/mapping programs such as ESRI ArcGIS, Map Info, and geospatial analysis functions (desired); experience administering ESRI applications preferred.
- Experience using Crystal Reports, MS Excel, and other report generation tools (desired).
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to work independently and use good judgment in decisions affecting application administration.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and the listed software applications essential for assigned work.
- Basic problem‑solving skills associated with software applications used.
- Experience with the following applications: HASTUS, CAD/AVL (Computer Aided Dispatch and Automated Vehicle Location), Enterprise Asset Management, and Crystal Reports.
BS in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Required ExperiencePrevious work experience in applications administration with an emphasis on supporting transit‑specific applications such as HASTUS, Transit Master, and Trapeze EAM. A background in transit scheduling/planning/operations, information technology, or intelligent transportation systems is strongly preferred.
Licenses or Certificates- Valid Driver's License.
- Acquire a Virginia Driver's License within 60 days after hire if an out‑of‑state license is not the applicant's current state of residence.
