We are seeking a dynamic, experienced paralegal to join a boutique family law firm in Fairfax, VA. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of experience in family law, thrives in a small firm setting, and brings strong trial preparation skills. This is a full-time, in-office position for someone dependable, organized, and capable of supporting both legal and general administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and file pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and motions in family law matters
• Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and case chronologies
• Coordinate and manage trial calendars, deadlines, and court dates
• Maintain and proactively manage attorney calendars and ensure all deadlines, court appearances, and tasks are scheduled and tracked
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and courtroom support
• Conduct client communication and intake processes
• Organize and maintain case files and document management systems
• Handle general office administrative tasks (phones, scheduling, billing assistance, etc.)
• Support attorneys in a collaborative and fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of paralegal experience in family law
• Strong trial preparation and litigation support skills
• Familiarity with local court procedures in Northern Virginia
• Comfortable working in a smaller firm setting (2–10 employees)
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Experience with legal software (familiarity with Rocket Matter)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Full-time, on-site in Fairfax, VA
• Opportunity to take ownership of key aspects of casework and office operations
