Bring your skills to the 2025 Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Kenworth Sales Co., a 38-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for an Inventory Control Clerk to join the team in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Salary: $20 - $25 per hour.
The position is a drug‑free workplace. Employment is contingent on passing a pre‑employment drug screening.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with stock and emergency purchasing, vendor stock and core returns, order levels, receiving and related functions.
- Run and update PACCAR reports; input all stock orders and assist with emergency orders daily.
- Keep prices current.
- Monitor and process credits, RMAs outstanding and shipping authorizations.
- File departmental paperwork.
- Assist the Parts Manager with special projects such as cycle counts and the annual physical inventory count.
- Maintain good communication with team members to minimize mistakes and maximize teamwork.
- Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent. Clear, legible handwriting.
- Computer terminal data input, 10‑key calculator proficiency.
- Two years of general office experience with an understanding of office procedures, including filing, correspondence, basic accounting; knowledge of Bills of Lading, freight bills, and freight bills is preferred.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Bills of Lading and Freight preferred but not required.
- This position involves both sedentary and other work.
- For part of the shift, the employee will work at a desk in a warehouse setting doing paperwork, telephone, and filing.
- For part of the shift, the employee will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving around the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers.
- Lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance on a daily basis.
The employee will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
