The Controller plans and directs the accounting operations for Wyoming Catholic College.
Supervisory Responsibilities- Oversees the financial operations of Wyoming Catholic College: accounting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and reporting.
- Oversees the Business Office Manager and Staff Accountant
- In conjunction with the CFO, lead the senior executive in the creation of the annual College budget
- Produce monthly financial statements
- Manage accounting staff, who enter AP/AR, monthly journal entries, etc.
- Serve as management’s liaison to the external audit team during their preliminary and on‑site field work, in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Preparation of IRS Form 990
- Support CFO, payroll staff, and Human Resources departments in payroll management
- Conduct in‑depth financial analysis, and provide expert financial perspective to CFO and College President
- Manage and monitor cash‑flow
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
- Files quarterly and annual reports.
- Ensures compliance with local, state and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Proven history of punctuality, trustworthiness and motivation.
- Proven history of leading a team to successfully complete financial/accounting responsibilities and goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Master of Business Administration required.
- Eight years or more of related experience is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Able to travel as needed.
$85,000-$115,000
