Maintenance Trades Helper – Machinist Trainee

An entry‑level role that supports the maintenance and manufacturing team by performing machining, CNC operations, and general shop work. The position offers on‑the‑job training and exposure to a variety of machining processes.

• Operate and maintain plasma burn tables, hand grinders, scrapers, and tape measures.
• Perform metal material stretching, layout processes, plate cleaning, and de‑burring.
• Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings, solving problems as needed.
• Operate CNC machinery, downloading programs via disc, flash drive, or direct connect.
• Execute cuts and nesting activities as defined by production requirements.
• Assist in building an understanding of machining principles to support operational efficiency and quality improvements.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and other heavy machinery to move and position materials.
• Perform daily equipment operational checks and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and deadlines.

High School Diploma or GED. 0+ years of related experience. Completion of a machining technology education. US citizenship required.
