Inventory Control Specialist

About the RoleJoin a growing, innovative global organization as an Inventory Control Specialist. You’ll play a key role in keeping production and customer orders running smoothly by maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating material flow, and supporting warehouse and purchasing operations. What You’ll Do- Maintain accurate inventory levels to meet customer and production demand
- Identify shortages and communicate them to the Warehouse Manager and Production teams
- Set up and manage Material Resources Planning (MRP)
- Support order fulfillment: pulling parts, stocking, storing, and staging materials
- Perform regular inventory audits and investigate discrepancies
- Load and unload containers; review and verify freight documentation
- Serve as backup for shipping and receiving
- Assist the purchasing department with material needs and updates
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet operational goals
- Take on additional duties as assigned by leadership
- Experience using inventory software or inventory management systems
- Strong analytical, math, and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to operate a standard forklift and pallet jack
- Excellent attention to detail and record accuracy
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with multiple departments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs as needed
- Ability to walk, bend, climb stairs, push/pull, and perform hands‑on material handling

You’ll work in a clean, climate‑controlled warehouse environment. The role involves handling resin and epoxy, so casual or durable clothing is recommended.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
