Salary Range: $24.00 To $36.00 Hourly
General Scope:
To write C.N.C programs for new jobs, and to update existing programs when changes occur or new technology is available that would cause changes to existing tooling.
Position Summary:
- To write CNC programs using the latest revisions or blueprints and to incorporate the newest tooling which requires updating older programs to double check all programs for errors.
- To eliminate scrap and unsafe machine movements.
Education:
One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge:
Incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the current programming and software being used. 3-5 years’ experience with Mastercam and knowledge of Inventor preferred.
Skills:
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
