Position: HVAC Tech - Austin Industrial (Franklin, VA)

Rate: $31 USD per hour

Job Title: HVAC Technician

Location:
Franklin, VA

Maintain, install, repair HVAC and related mechanical systems for industrial manufacturing environments, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and install plant mechanical systems in pulp and paper manufacturing industry.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment like conveyors and presses.
  • Read mechanical prints and diagrams (including HVAC systems).
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and may frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
  • Experience – 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Critical thinking; predictive and preventative maintenance, finding root cause of failure.
  • Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work alone, with a partner, or as a member of a team maintaining safety, quality & productivity.
  • Engage in preventative maintenance processes through facility.
  • Willingness to cross‑train and learn new skills in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
  • Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes, stores and work order.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • HVAC Certification required.
  • Meet physical demands as listed above.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location.
  • Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment.
