Rate: $31 USD per hour
Job Title: HVAC Technician
Location:
Franklin, VA
Maintain, install, repair HVAC and related mechanical systems for industrial manufacturing environments, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities- Diagnose, repair, and install plant mechanical systems in pulp and paper manufacturing industry.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment like conveyors and presses.
- Read mechanical prints and diagrams (including HVAC systems).
- Other duties as assigned.

- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and may frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Experience – 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Critical thinking; predictive and preventative maintenance, finding root cause of failure.
- Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work alone, with a partner, or as a member of a team maintaining safety, quality & productivity.
- Engage in preventative maintenance processes through facility.
- Willingness to cross‑train and learn new skills in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
- Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes, stores and work order.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License.
- HVAC Certification required.
- Meet physical demands as listed above.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location.
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment.
