Job Description
The Press Operator Lead is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions, while leading/supervising a team of print operators.

- Oversee timekeeping, attendance, performance reviews, training, and development
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
- Manage Press Operators performing the following duties:
- Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
- Report all safety concerns or issues to management.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
- Complete make‑ready in accordance with the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used.
- Complete all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks; complete all press‑side quality checks.
- Operate press to produce product in accordance with customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency.
- Maintain consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks include: copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
- Complete all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
- Complete press make‑ready in an efficient manner.
- Complete all required equipment maintenance duties.
- Clean plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricate press as needed.
- Input all required information into the Radius system for material usage and time in an accurate and prompt manner.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous supervisory / team lead experience required.
- 1+ years as a Printing Press Operator experience and/or training required.
- Physical demands: standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear; frequent walking; occasional climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision requirements (close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus).
