Position: Machine (Rewinder) Operator - 1st Shift

Job Title:

Finishing Machine Operator, 1st Shift Benefits
  • Compensation: $18.00-$21.00 based on skill level, specific abilities, and years of industry-specific experience + $1,000 sign-on bonus

  • Paid Holidays:
    New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two plant holidays
Responsibilities
  • Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
  • Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per specification.
  • Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
  • Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly to avoid damage.
  • Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
  • Records and enters data on designated paperwork and the company operation system (Radius).
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to calculate label counts and conversions.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience or in‑depth knowledge of lithographic, flexographic, or digital printing preferred.
  • Physical demands: standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, talking and hearing; frequent walking; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; regular lifting or moving up to 50 pounds; continuous eye concentration.
  • Specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
