Join our team at Mission Technologies and the Elevator Support Unit (ESU) group as a Manager Production Planning Scheduler. The selected candidate will support ESU by managing and overseeing numerous Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) projects and provide expert solutions for shipboard alterations and installations in fleet modernization. The role may require travel to shipyards and military bases domestically and abroad.
This is a full-time position located in Chesapeake, VA.

- Engage with planning and program performance, addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package or related group of work packages on large system development-type contracts.
- Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as liaison between project management, project team, and line management. Schedule, assign tasks, and meet production standards and schedules.
- Develop and maintain engaging relationships with customer representatives and subcontractors for continued business growth.
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
- Develop and use technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports, and task or trip reports.
- Take responsibility for the direct supervision and management of staff, providing objective-oriented directions to subordinates.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
- Apply comprehensive understanding of production and processes toward completion of assignments.
- Interface with customers, manage subcontractors, provide work directions and lead others. May manage one or more multiple jobs.
- Perform a variety of complicated and non-routine tasks including duties outside of specialty to complete installation or work assignment.
- Schedule, report, and brief customers and senior management.
- 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in a related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
- Must have shipboard maintenance and repair experience.
- Must be able to read and interpret equipment and systems, ship drawings and ship technical documents and manuals.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing Advanced Weapons Elevators and electrical cabinets associated with Equipment.
- Experience with all AWE actuators and associated Equipment.
- Experience coordinating and supervising personnel effort in accomplishing shipboard repairs specifically on Aircraft Elevator, Advanced Weapons Elevator, Stores Elevator Mechanical & Electrical.
- Experience being closely involved with practical aircraft carriers, maintenance availability, procedures, work integration administration and maintenance scheduling.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as experience communicating with senior level Ship’s Force and government personnel.
- Must be able to assess and proactively address potential production and schedule issues.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance.
