Skilled Laborer
We are seeking a skilled laborer with experience in an industrial environment or shipyard. You will be responsible for operating the forklift to move finished concrete pipes from the plant's production line into the yard for inventory, and also loading trucks with finished pipes for customer delivery. During the training or contract period, you may also assist the production crews with cleaning forms, though your primary role will be forklift operation.
Responsibilities- Operate forklift to transport finished concrete pipes from production line to yard inventory.
- Load trucks with finished pipes for customer delivery.
- Assist production crews with cleaning forms during training/contract period.
- Forklift operation experience, specifically with 22k-36k capacity forklifts.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with heavy equipment and sit down forklifts.
- Ability to move products/materials weighing up to 12 tons efficiently.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with a 4-prong lift preferred, but training available for the right candidate.
- General labor experience in an industrial environment.

Work EnvironmentWork in a non-climate-controlled industrial facility where you will be inside and outside. The environment is dusty due to cement products, and you should be prepared to get dirty. Shifts start at 4am and last between 9-12 hours.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
