Inside Machinist

Insight Global is looking for an inside machinist that requires no supervision and is an expert in all tasks and qualifications required as an Inside Machinist. Will have the ability to manufacture complex components from stock or modify parts in accordance with all drawing requirements. Must be able to perform the set up and operation of all manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, saws, etc.)

along with the ability to perform programming, set up and operation of Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) machines (lathe and mills) and hand tools used in the trade as well as the ability to use all precision measuring instruments such as outside diameter and inside diameter micrometers, height gauges, depth gauges, calipers, verniers, lay-out tools and possess the ability to accurately record readings and measurements.

Expert proficiency in reading complex blueprints, drawings, manuals, technical work documents, measuring and marking dimensions and reference points on material, selecting proper tooling, attachments and accessories as well as manufacturing fixtures to hold work pieces. Expert working knowledge of all feed and speed rates and machining characteristics of various materials. Ability to machine complex parts to close tolerances ensuring that the finish requirements of the drawing specifications are achieved first time through.

Required Skills & Experience
* 6+ years of being a journeyman/specialist level as an inside machinist

• 6+ years of setting up and operating lathe and mill machines (HAAS brand)
• Knowledge with G&M codes
• Experience with reading drawling's and design
• Experience with stainless steel
• Must be able to work second shift
• Must have a set of regular hand tools

Compensation: $35/hr to $48/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
