Finishing Machine Operator

MCC seeks a Finishing Machine Operator to support its faith-driven relief and development mission by producing high-quality printed and assembled materials. This role sets up, operates, and monitors finishing equipment such as cutters, folders, stitchers, or inserters to prepare publications, mailings, and resources used in global ministry and advocacy. The operator inspects output for accuracy and quality, troubleshoots minor mechanical issues, follows safety and stewardship standards, and collaborates with a small, cross-cultural team to meet production schedules that serve MCC partners worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Set up and safely operate finishing machines such as cutters, folders, stitchers, and inserters
• Monitor equipment performance, identify issues, and perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments
• Inspect finished materials for accuracy, print quality, and conformance to specifications
• Read and follow production tickets, schedules, and work instructions to meet deadlines
• Handle, stage, and load paper, stock, and materials for finishing runs
• Package, bundle, and label completed jobs for distribution to MCC programs and partners
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with MCC stewardship values
• Accurately record production counts, downtime, and basic maintenance activities
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize jobs that support MCC's global ministry
