Heavy Equipment Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic who will help build and install mechanical systems and components on large industrial equipment. The person in this position will work with mechanical systems, motors, pumps, etc. You will need to be proficient with the use of blueprints and basic hand tools. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will inspect and test their work, troubleshoot any misalignments or installation issues, and work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to keep projects on schedule.

Attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and a strong commitment to safety and quality are essential for success in this role.

Chesapeake VA.

Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30AM

Optional overtime available on Fridays and occasionally Saturdays

$22/hr-$26/hr. (10% differential on night shift) Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

• 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment, install and overhauling components in a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with large components and diesel systems
• Ability to use standard and metric measuring tools
• Previous experience in Heavy Equipment Manufacturing
