About the Position
2 Neuro Science Nurses.  This is a 36         –  hours per week         position         night shifts onlyr        .  Every other weekend. Please read the position description below to ensure you are sending the right person       .

Neuroscience    is a twelve-bed inpatient unit.  It features four video EEG monitoring rooms with state of the art equipment and provides care to neurology, neurosurgery and epilepsy monitoring/surgical patients.  This unit also performs gene therapy infusions for SMA and will often participate in clinical drug trials.

Some of the conditions we treat on the unit have the following conditions –

Hydrocephalus, Brain and spinal cord tumors, Intractable epilepsy, Spina bifida, Craniofacial disorders, Brain or spine trauma, Spinal deformity/scoliosis, Concussions, Epilepsy, Headaches/migraines,  ADEM,Ataxia, Brain Abscess, Chiara Malformation, Closed Head Injury, Craniofacial, Encephalopathy, Encephalitis, Epilepsy, Guillain Barre, Headaches/Migraines,Hydrocephalous, Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension ( Pseudotumor cerebri, benign, etc.),

Neurofibromatosis, Microcephaly, Macrocephaly, Moyamoya, MS, Pseudoseizures, Shunt Placement/Revision, Sleep Disorders, Stroke, Tethered Cord, Tuberous Sclerosis, Weakness, VNS Insertion/Malfunction, Ketogenic Diet, Transverse Myelitis, Muscular Dystrophy, Gait Abnormality,

Convulsions, Febrile Seizure, AIM, Cyclical Vomiting, Cerebral Palsy, etc.
