Part Time - Endo RN

We are searching for a passionate Part Time RN to work at our Surgery Center in Chesapeake, VA. This position provides a great work‑life balance as you will not have to work nights or weekends.

• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations requiring immediate medical intervention.
• Initiate emergency measures as needed and assist with maintenance of crash cart.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs to provide supportive care before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist physicians with procedures, including handling and maintaining accurate records of medications used and labeling of specimens.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment, including cleaning, disinfection, and daily maintenance of equipment.
• Initiate IVs for patient sedation prior to procedures.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician’s orders.
• Participate in patient education pre‑ and post‑procedure.
• Maintain accurate and complete records, documenting all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Assist the physician with management of office visits.
• Provide patient education and instruction.
• Communicate with patients as applicable.
• Maintain patient‑centered data in a neat and organized manner, including chart entries, documentation, or communications to be sent externally.

• Registered nurse with membership in local, state, and national societies encouraged.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Solid nursing background, with a concentration or willingness to obtain advanced knowledge in GI specialty.
• Priority setting, judgment, communication skill, and tact.
