RN Staff Development Coordinator

Position Overview

Chesapeake Health & Rehabilitation Center in Chesapeake is seeking an RN for our Staff Development Coordinator position.

The RN Staff Development Coordinator manages and provides required education to the entire staff and is also responsible for employee health.

• Administer employee health programs, including Hepatitis B vaccinations and PPD annual checks.
• Apply expert nursing skills (patient assessment, infection control, IV therapy, medication administration, etc.) and teach these skills to staff.
• Partner with HR to provide new hire orientation and evaluate educational needs for ongoing continuing education.
• Identify, assess, and implement in‑service programs to ensure clinical skill proficiency.
• Serve as Infection Control Nurse, reporting practices to the Infection Control Officer and Administrator.

• Licensed RN.
• Minimum 2–4 years of nursing experience and clinical training experience.
• Experience teaching CNA classes preferred; training will be provided upon hire.
