• Participates in the screening, evaluation, and care of inmates under the supervision of a physician and/or registered nurse.
• Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Prepares patients for and assists with examinations or treatments.
• Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and maintains stock of supplies.
• Coordinates with other medical and ancillary personnel to ensure continuity of care.
• Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients’ condition.
• Provides appropriate nursing interventions in emergency situations.
• Complies with all state requirements and facility policies and procedures.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by facility.
