RN: Telemetry

Job Description:

Join a Coastal Virginia medical‑surgical and telemetry team as a Registered Nurse specializing in MS/Tele for a 13‑week travel contract in Chesapeake, Virginia. This assignment supports an elective surgery and trauma‑focused unit that coordinates post‑op care for orthopedic, bariatric, and colorectal‑related cases, with additional coverage when MS overflow volume permits. You’ll work a structured day shift schedule (4×12, 07:00–19:30) with EOW and holiday coverage within the contract and will participate in a team that can monitor up to 8 telemetry patients.

This role is best suited for an RN who brings strong MS/Tele experience, is ready for float‑style coverage, and is comfortable performing IV starts and telemetry interpretation. Ortho experience is strongly preferred, and candidates must be Epic proficient (firm requirement). The facility expects pre‑close readiness on telemetry/mst ratios, with budgeted staffing typically at 1:5 and flexibility up to 1:7 max, so please ensure your background is clean and matches facility requirements.

Requirements include BLS via American Heart Association and ACLS. This contract runs 13 weeks with possible extension, with opportunities to work either 3×12 or 4×12 based on unit needs—please indicate your preference.
