Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele/Neuro/Stroke unit position in Coastal Virginia, requiring prior neurology/stroke experience, Epic proficiency, and a VA or Compact RN license in hand.

• Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with prior travel nursing experience also required
• Prior experience working with neurology and/or stroke patients required
• Epic proficiency required — no exceptions
• Skills required:
  
  IV insertion and telemetry interpretation
• No license or background hits will be considered
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Position is on a Med/Surg Telemetry/Neuro/Stroke unit (6S)
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a
• Schedule is 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week based on candidate preference
• Patient ratio is 1:7
• Floating is required
• Holiday coverage is required within the contract
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• 13-week contract
• Care for med/surg telemetry, neurology, and stroke patients
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront at the time of submission
