American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Renal/Diabetes Telemetry unit position requiring 2 years of recent RN experience, 2 years of travel experience, and Epic proficiency.

• Hospital-based Med Surg/Renal/Diabetes Telemetry unit (5 West)
• Typical patient ratio is 1:7
• Schedule options of 3x12s or 4x12s, day shift 7:00-19:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Holiday coverage required within the contract period
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active VA or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years recent relevant RN experience required
• Minimum of 2 years travel nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in Epic required
• Cardiac telemetry and MS/Tele unit experience
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care
• No history of license or background hits permitted
• Must be able to pass a facility EKG/telemetry competency test with 80% or higher score prior to starting orientation
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Provide nursing care for a medical-surgical, renal, and diabetes patient population with telemetry monitoring needs
• Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays if working the longer assignment option through January 9, 2027
• Facility cannot accommodate a PAPR respirator; candidates with fit test issues will not be considered
• 3 hours of billable modules required, completed prior to start
• Candidates must live 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application and will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis
• Skills utilized may include respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration), wound care, feeding tube management, and cardiac drip management without titration
