Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320!

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Chesapeake, VA | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a high-volume post-surgical unit serving urology and GYN surgical populations
• Manage a patient assignment with a typical ratio of 1:7
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms including sinus rhythms, heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, and pacing
• Rotate every other weekend, float as needed, and work holidays within the contract period, including two of the three winter holidays
• Document accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR

• Minimum of two years of recent, relevant Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
• Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission — no exceptions
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in Epic EMR required — no exceptions
• Must pass a telemetry/EKG competency test with a score of 80% or higher prior to start (one attempt allowed; no remediation available)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; address verification required prior to offer acceptance

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience caring for post-surgical patient populations, including urology and GYN
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills, including interval measurements and complex rhythm identification

• Work in the Coastal Virginia region, close to Virginia Beach and Norfolk, with access to outdoor recreation including hiking trails and waterways
• Overtime may be available for candidates on a 4x12 schedule, paid after 48 hours
