Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13-week assignment. Weekend coverage required with variable scheduling based on staffing needs. Every other holiday rotation. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. Maximum 40 hours approved time off per contract; unable to approve time off around Labor Day.

- High-acuity Level I Trauma Center with comprehensive stroke and STEMI center capabilities
- 165 daily patient visits across 71 treatment rooms
- Patient ratios of 4-5 patients per nurse across all shifts
- Epic electronic medical record system
- Full interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
- Diverse patient population spanning pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- 24-hour orientation period with specialty-specific modules
Requirements:
- Active or pending Virginia RN license (must be active by Wednesday before start date)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department nursing experience required
- Must have either 1 year Level I trauma experience OR 2 years Level II trauma experience
- Pediatric emergency experience required (does not need to be dedicated pediatric ER)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC certification required (may be pending at submission but must be active before start date)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Professional references required with submission
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required
- BSN preferred
