Job Overview
Leidos’ Mid-Atlantic Depot (MAD) located in Chesapeake, VA has an opening for a mid-entry level Quality Inspector supporting the Quality organization. The selected candidate will be onsite at the MAD facility and will support the FAA En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM) program and other programs as necessary, conducting quality oversight related to inspections, drawing reviews, configuration controls, manufacturing and testing.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform inspections of sub-assemblies and rack builds to prints
- Inspection of detailed machine components to drawing specifications
- Support quality oversight of Production Acceptance Testing (PAT)
- Confirm documentation is complete and accurate
- Ensure products meet requirements and customer’s expectations
- Perform Configuration Management verifications
- Verification of kitted materials being shipped
- Ensure Quality Management System and procedures are followed
- Supports facility’s audit program
- Communicate with Leidos support teams and external customers (FAA), as necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with manufacturing cables, sub-assemblies and rack builds.
- Understanding of detailed mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of configuration management and document control.
- Understanding of calibration and calibration systems protocols.
- Ability to review test results and support documentation for conformance.
- Capability to follow quality processes and procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate and interact with internal and external customers.
- Good oral, written and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Pay Range: $40,300.00 - $72,850.00. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement, or other law.
