Summary

The Manager of Inventory Management holds a key leadership role in managing the timely flow of merchandise through the distribution network and to stores in the assigned area. The role involves developing plans and strategies to maximize sales and inventory turn, supervising a team of Inventory Analysts, training and mentoring staff, and participating in cross‑functional teams to advance the organization’s strategic initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Allocation and Replenishment Inventory Analysts.
  • Oversee and coordinate the flow of inventory through distribution centers.
  • Provide analysis to identify business opportunities and solutions to improve the flow of merchandise to stores.
  • Partner with category merchants and directors to develop seasonal allocation and event planning strategies.
  • Oversee Relex sales and receipt forecast projections while maintaining store and DC in‑stock and service level goals.
  • Maintain balanced inventory levels in all DC and retail locations while improving flow through each location.
  • Work with the field to respond to merchandise concerns and collaborate with the appropriate Store Support Center associate/department to address issues.
Minimum Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in merchandise allocation and replenishment.
  • Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
  • Commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting multiple goals and deadlines.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and contribute to a high‑performing team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, and email software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with JDA, retail enterprise allocation and replenishment software.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Other significant retail or operations experience.
