Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Retail & Store Manager
Position Summary
Assists management with the supervision of associates in the assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, providing training on processes and procedures, and guiding associates on member service approaches and techniques to resolve member complaints and issues in accordance with company guidelines. Supports the Open Door Policy, participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating associates. Maintains facility safety by conducting safety sweeps and handling hazardous materials in compliance with company policies.
Supports Sam’s Club e‑commerce plan by overseeing operations of programs such as Club Pick‑Up, Ship‑From‑Club, etc., auditing online customer feedback, resolving complaints, escalating unresolved issues, identifying trends, and generating solutions. Supervises associates in e‑commerce programs, training and providing resources to meet needs, assigning duties, providing feedback, and ensuring coverage at the e‑commerce pickup location.
Executes the Sam’s Club Pickup plan, updating operations with key performance indicators, auditing customer orders to ensure correct fulfillment, ensuring equipment availability, and maintaining awareness of Club Pickup strategy and execution goals. Tours the club to evaluate CPU performance, trains associates, evaluates performance and processes, and supports the development of new metrics. Supports projects to improve CPU efficiencies using key performance indicators and leadership insight to resolve operational gaps, models appropriate picking and loading, and implements solutions to improve productivity and quality.
Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, providing guidance and support, assisting with self‑service technology, purchasing decisions, and promoting company products. Maintains sales floor and merchandise presentation, handles claims and returns, zones the area, stocks, arranges, cleans, and organizes displays, removes damaged goods, signs, and prices merchandise, and identifies shrink and damages.
Oversees picking and staging of club pick‑up orders, ensuring products are selected and staged according to policy. Develops and implements processes to meet business needs, collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners, monitors progress, identifies improvement opportunities, and promotes compliance with company policies and an open‑door policy. Leads and participates in teams, shares resources and tools, determines customer needs, coordinates work assignments, provides advice and feedback, and models adaptation to change.
