Pricing Operations Specialist

General Summary

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution and accuracy of Supplier Cost and Retail changes after initial SKU creation within the Pricing Operations Team. This includes Mark-Ups, Mark-Up Cancellations, Clearances, Temporary Price Reductions, and Promotional pricing and offers for all SKUs (Basic, DSD, and Fashion) within a designated Line of Business or group of Categories for the company. Managing these work streams requires someone with high proficiency in time management, organization, attention to detail, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.

This position is responsible for set-up, validation and management of events with a goal of 100% accuracy.

• Manage the Pricing Workflow where all pricing related events are submitted from internal business partners. This includes set-up in RMS, validation, conflict management, and final approvals for the events.
• Participate in weekly Business Rhythm Meetings with the Merchant Teams.
• Work closely with Category Team Members, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Store Ops, and IT business partners
• Research and resolve pricing issues as reported by stores and/or system-generated reports.
• Provide fact-based guidance to the Buyers when working through issues.
• Responsible for maintaining 100% accuracy for all pricing events. Monthly event SKU/Store records may exceed 25M.
• Audit pricing event detail for 100% accuracy. This is critical in protecting profitability, price perception and integrity to Family Dollar and its customers.
• Write weekly store communications for all pricing events.
• Manage to all pricing deadlines to ensure Service Level Agreements are met.
• Manage Store Closing retail uploads with third party service
• Maintain Store Zone Assignments across multiple Zone Groups including validation and auditing for 100% accuracy
• Manage and execute DSD Cost and /or Retail uploads (Beer & Wine, Dairy, Bread, and Tobacco)
• Manage Weekly New Store Grand Opening promotional pricing events
• Maintain SKU Detail Files for all pricing events (PPCs, CPCs, CBPs, TPRs, and Promotions)
• Participate in quarterly Store Work Days which may include live store testing of promotional events
• Work on special projects, ad hoc analysis, and initiatives related to pricing and promotions
• Other duties as assigned.

• Office work environment, 40+ work hours per week
• Ability to prioritize and manage to timelines
• Ability to work cross-functionally and maintain effective relationships with Buyers, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, IT, Store Ops and Management
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work priorities
• Proficient with verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in root cause analysis

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
• Experience:
  
  2-4 years of applicable retail or marketing experience; specific experience in pricing a plus
• Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Projected Salary Range: $52,000-$60,000
