Description

Responsibilities
  • Sell Vector’s commercial solutions and achieve bookings, recurring revenue, and profit margin targets through proactive scheduling of sales appointments with current and prospective commercial customers.
  • Maintain in‑depth product knowledge via ongoing training and required certifications; educate customers on video, intrusion, access control, and fire alarm systems.
  • Generate commercial proposals and maintain a viable pipeline at least four times the monthly sales quota; track all proposals in the company’s CRM.
  • Collaborate with the commercial system design team and branch operations to define proper scope for large commercial installations.
  • Develop strategies to market products to new consumers and identify new target market segments and opportunities.
  • Monitor competition by gathering market information on pricing, products, new releases, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
What You’ll Need
  • Industry experience (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license required to travel to customer locations.
Prospecting Skills
  • Build new relationships and generate new logos through Linked In, social media, networking, and other self‑generation activities.
  • Proven success in self‑generated activities and previous sales positions.
  • Strong presentation skills: ability to present complex integrated solutions common in large commercial environments.
  • Strong closing skills: ability to close commercial proposals, overcome objections, and negotiate effectively.
