Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Chesapeake, VA.

$20.12 / Hour

Sun 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): Hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: Pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next – it’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocol.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and/or visitor activity in a clear and timely manner.

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
