Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Hot Side Technician to join our fast‑growing STR Mechanical Team. The ideal candidate will have a can‑do attitude and strong problem‑solving skills, as well as an active EPA Certification.

Job Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial hot side kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, steamers, grills, warmers, kettles, and other cooking appliances
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Conduct safety inspections and verify compliance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes
Accountabilities
  • Continual learning and development in the body of knowledge through First Call Academy, to ensure we set the bar for skill level in the industry
  • Elite level of customer service, to ensure we continue to be the First Call our customers make for their HVAC needs
Organizational Alignment

This position reports to the local Service Manager and is responsible for engaging with the service team and all of our customers.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years’ of experience in a commercial HVAC setting
  • Strong knowledge of gas, electric, and steam‑operated cooking equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Valid Driver License w/acceptable driving record
  • Active EPA Certification
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
  • Available to work flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
