We’re hiring experienced Pipe Fitters / Welders to support industrial piping and welding work on school construction projects in Smithfield, VA. This is a steady, full‑time opportunity with long hours available for skilled tradespeople who want reliable work, strong earnings, and pride in quality craftsmanship.

• Install, fit, and assemble industrial piping systems in active school construction environments
• Perform TIG and stick welding on pipe and plate to meet project specs and quality standards
• Weld joints including socket, butt, consumable ring, backing ring, and open butt welds
• Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and weld procedures
• Complete light fabrication and support work as needed on site
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work area
• Work collaboratively with other skilled trades to keep projects on schedule
• Follow all site safety rules, company policies, and quality standards
• Use your own basic tools when required

• 3+ years of industrial pipe fitting and welding experience
• Strong working knowledge of TIG and stick welding
• Proven experience welding multiple joint types and materials
• Ability to read blueprints and piping drawings confidently
• Solid industrial or construction‑site pipe fitting experience
• Attention to detail with a strong focus on weld quality and fit‑up
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in active job sites
• Able to clearly explain your previous pipe systems and project experience during interviews
• Dependable, safety‑minded, and ready to work extended schedules when needed

Pay range: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year.

• Day shift: Typically 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Job sites located at school facilities in Smithfield, VA
• Construction and industrial environments with moderate to high noise levels
• Work includes standing, bending, stooping, reaching, confined space work, and heights
• Exposure to varying weather conditions
• Standard industrial welding and pipe fitting tools used (basic personal tools may be required)

This is a permanent position based out of Chesapeake, VA. Fully onsite position in Chesapeake, VA.

This position is anticipated to close on May 22, 2026.
