Entry Level Diesel & Trailer Mechanic

This position is part of the Flee Tec Academy, a paid educational program that trains individuals to become full‑time Diesel and Trailer Technicians. Participants receive a five‑week, full‑time classroom education at our Academy campus, travel costs, hotel accommodation, a weekly stipend for meals, and a paycheck during training. After completing the Academy, candidates are paired with a Lead Technician for hands‑on training and are offered a full‑time Mobile Mechanic position within their local market.

• 5 weeks paid classroom training; all travel expenses covered.
• Free technical education in diesel and trailer repair.
• Hands‑on training with experienced technicians.
• Full‑time mobile mechanic job upon graduation.
• Long‑term career progression and ongoing classroom refreshers.

• $16/hr (or state minimum wage, whichever is greater) + $250/week stipend during the first week (taxed).
• Upon graduation: $21/hr.
• Additional pay progression available with further training.

• Desire to start a career as a Diesel and Trailer Technician.
• Willingness and ability to study hard for five weeks of full‑time training.
• Ability to devote five weeks away from home to complete the Academy.
• Maturity and focus suitable for a professional training program.
• Technical aptitude and passion for fixing vehicles.
• Ability to use an iPad.
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate company fleet trucks.
• High school diploma or equivalent preference; not required.
• Willingness to undergo background checks, driving records checks, pre‑employment drug testing, and a physical examination.

• Minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off per month.
• Seven paid holidays per calendar year.
• Bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave available.
