AC&R Technician
Aerotek is looking to hire AC&R Technicians with 3 to 5 years of experience. The pay is in the upper 20s low 30s.
This contract-to-hire role offers an experienced AC&R Technician the opportunity to install, repair, and maintain air conditioning, refrigeration, and related laundry and galley equipment in a shipyard environment within the Hampton Roads area. You will use your HVAC and refrigeration expertise to ensure critical equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration systems used in laundry and galley operations within shipyards.
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on HVAC and refrigeration equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment schematics to complete installations and repairs accurately.
- Use electrician mate skills to assist with electrical connections, wiring, and component replacement associated with HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on refrigeration, air conditioning, and related equipment to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Inspect equipment and systems to verify proper operation, identify potential problems, and recommend corrective actions.
- Document work performed, including parts used, test results, and system status, in a clear and organized manner.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
