Tractor Operator
Operates gasoline or diesel-powered tractor, compost turner, stake bed trucks, and bobcat. Performs all other duties assigned to satisfy the operational requirements of the contract.
Moves materials, draw implements, tow-trailers, pull out objects embedded in ground, or pull cable of winch to raise, lower, or load heavy material or equipment.
Operates tractor to mow vegetation along roads, ditches, culverts and other uneven terrain.
Fastens attachments such as graders, plows, rollers, mowers (over 2000 lbs.), backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows to tractor, adjusts equipment for proper operation, lubricates and makes minor repairs to tractor and attachments such as tightening bolts, and replacing washers, cotter pins, and screws.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of tractor operation experience.
Valid Class C State Driver's License.
Outdoor work is subject to extreme temperatures, noise, and inclement weather conditions and other conditions determined by the nature of the job.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; stand for an 8 hour shift.
Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft surfaces, cement structures and surfaces at variable heights.
Good interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team player; and work harmoniously with others.
Ability to communicate effectively.
In addition to the base hourly wage, this position includes a $7.00 per hour fringe benefit rate, provided in accordance with applicable contract requirements.
