Our client in Chesapeake, Virginia is looking to fill an opening for a Deisel Mechanic in their Maintenance Department.
Job Description- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience directly related to diagnosis, repair and maintaining mobile equipment, conveyors and bulk handling systems.
- Experience with diesel engine repair, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting preferred.
- Overhead crane experience and welding a plus but not needed.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair primarily off road equipment used in the loading, unloading, transfer and storage of bulk materials, including conveyor systems.
- Move machinery and equipment to diagnose and repair.
- Diagnose problems and make repairs to heavy equipment, cranes, loaders, dozers, etc.
- Work from blueprints, schematics or verbal instructions.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all terminal equipment.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8AM - 430PM. Must be able to work 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am shift when the vessel comes in.
Pay: $27.00/hour#ISS
