HVAC Service Technician
The HVAC Service Technician role focuses on installing heating and cooling systems in new home construction sites and managing first-year warranty service contracts for homeowners.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and install ductwork, furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners in new homes.
- Test newly installed systems to ensure they operate safely and correctly.
- Diagnose and fix mechanical or electrical problems on active systems.
- Explain system operations to new homeowners and address their inquiries.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience with HVAC installation in new construction settings.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical system issues.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining system operations to homeowners.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5 - 10 years of experience in HVAC service.
- Valid Driver's License.
- HVAC Certification or EPA Universal Certification.
- Own your own tools

Work Environment
Work hours are from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The majority of service work is concentrated on the southside, including areas like Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, and Portsmouth, with limited service sites in Hampton and Newport News. There is no on-call requirement.

This is a Permanent position based out of Chesapeake, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $72800.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Company vehicle you can drive home, a gas card, life insurance, 50% of health/dental insurance and paid vacation time.
